The Foundation focused its action on the hillside area of the city of Cali, especially the 18th and 20th communes, and consolidated the line of job training, adding two new areas: comprehensive care for schoolchildren and productive use of free time. In alliance with the NGO VitolIn addition, training programs in trades were carried out, highlighting the collaboration with the company FORSA, to train young people in various fields. In 2015, with the second CDI delivered by Fundación Carvajal also on loan, Fundación Jera has consolidated a model for early childhood care, which benefits the community of the hillside sector with the care provided in Creciendo Felices and Ladera de Colores.
These two centers, conceived as nodes for social development, have allowed collaborators, families and neighbors in the area of influence to benefit from the actions undertaken by the Foundation, which are aimed at contributing to social transformation through childhood education and the strengthening of protective environments.
